SOPREMA Group: a successful story
At SOPREMA, we look to the future with optimism and are proud of our history. Founded in 1908, SOPREMA GROUP has remained an independent and self-sufficient group. As the group continues to grow, it wants to do so without abandoning its core values - an important prerequisite for maintaining our flexibility and creativity. The founder of SOPREMA GROUP, Charles Geisen, was also behind Mammouth roofing felt, the forerunner of BS747, which paved the way for modern waterproofing.
His son, Pierre Geisen, an expert in roofing technology, invented the roof sheet in 1933, a major innovation both for his time and for roof waterproofing systems. The current chairman of SOPREMA GROUP, Pierre Etienne Bindschedler, is the third generation of the family that founded SOPREMA. Under his leadership, the company has established itself as a world leader in the development and manufacture of waterproofing products and a wide range of accessories.
SOPREMA Hungary
Soprema, formerly known as Novaglass, established itself on the Hungarian market in 1991 and developed a leading position in the construction industry when it comes to high-end waterproofing solutions for residential and industrial structures and civil engineering applications.
Today, with a strong background in polymer-modified bituminous membranes, we can offer a broad spectrum of technologies, including PVC and TPO membranes, fluid systems and insulation, making us an all-round partner for building protection.
In 2022, SOPREMA Hungary acquired the company Fibrotermica Kft. a factory specialised in XPS insulation and this to meet the increasing demand for fuctional systems.
With the increasing demand for more efficient buildings and reducing their impact, Soprema has developed special total packages to comply with regulations on green roofs, blue roofs, cool roofs and solar roofs, with dedicated teams guiding you in the selection of the most suitable systems, from design to completion.
För att effektivt kunna möta den nordiska marknadens stigande efterfrågan och för att komma ännu närmare kunderna beslutade SOPREMA GROUP att etablera sig i Skandinavien. SOPREMA AB heter det nya dotterbolaget till SOPREMA GROUP. Företaget ligger i Helsingborg och har varit igång sedan juni 2011. SOPREMA AB erbjuder SOPREMAS produkter, erfarenheter och kunskaper om de svenska, norska, finska, danska och isländska marknaderna.
SOPREMA Nordeuropa
SOPREMA Danmark er en del af SOPREMAs nordeuropæiske forretningsenhed med hovedkvarter i Grobbendonk, Belgien. Ud over Belgien består regionen af Holland, Storbritannien, Irland, Sverige og Norge.
De respektive datterselskaber giver lokale kunder støtte, assistance og vejledning i at vælge de bedste løsninger til den enkelte kundes behov. Det lokale SOPREMA-kontor kan trække på den samlede erfaring og knowhow fra den nordeuropæiske region og hele SOPREMA GRUPPEN.
